Baseball Closes Opening Weekend With More Losses

Louisburg, NC. - Monroe Community College baseball team closed their opening weekend with two more losses on Sunday, February 23rd with another double header matchup against the Louisburg Hurricanes. Sophomore, Sean Flannery (Ontario, NY) went 4 for 5 on the day. The Tribunes now move to 0-4 on the season with the losses while the Hurricanes advance to 7-2.

Game Highlights:

• Ethan Pasco (Niagara Falls, ON) went 3 for 5 on the day.
• David Stirpe (Hilton, NY) finished with four RBI on the day.
• Monroe pitcher, Dylan Higgins (Stratford, CT) took the loss giving up eight earned in three and 1/3 innings.
• Jack Dragum went 4-5 with two homeruns and six RBI for Louisburg.

Monroe is back in action this Saturday, February 29th when they travel down to Myrtle Beach, SC for a double header matchup against Anne Arundel at 1:00 pm and Olney Central at 4 pm.
