Monroe vs Anne Arundel

Myrtle Beach, SC. – Monroe Community College baseball team swept Anne Arundel Community College this past Saturday in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina earning themselves a 23-2 victory. Sophomore, Evan Magill (Ajax, ON) went 2 for 2 with six RBI and two homeruns for the Tribunes. With the win, the Tribunes advanced to 1-4 on the season.

Game Highlights:

• Chris Procopio (Toronto, ON) went 2 for 2 with three RBI and a homerun for Monroe.
• The Tribunes right handed pitcher, Tyler Smith (Penfield, NY) gave up one run on three hits with five strikeouts.
• Tripp Templeton went 2 for 2 for Anne Arundel with one RBI.

Monroe vs Olney Central

Myrtle Beach, SC. – Following their win, Monroe went up against the Olney Central Knights in game two. The Tribunes couldn't find the bats and fell 14-4. With the loss, Monroe moved to 1-5 on the season. Sophomore, Trey Brown (Rochester, NY) went 1 for 2 with two RBI and a double.

• Dillon Higgins (Stratford, CT) went 2 for 3 with one RBI for the Tribunes.
• Monroe pitcher, Michael Sculli (Canandaigua, NY) gave up 10 runs on four hits with two strikeouts.
• Sam Rowan went 3 for 3 for the Knights with four RBI.
