Canandaigua, NY - The Monroe Community College baseball team stayed hot Saturday afternoon taking both games of their double-header against Finger Lakes Community College by scores of 10-4 and 8-2, improving to 10-4 overall on the year. Tyler Smith earned the victory on the mound in game one, tossing a complete game, while striking out four. Dillon Higgins matched his teammate on the bump in game two, tossing a complete game while striking out eight.
Evan Magill paced the offense in game one finishing 2-4 with four RBI's. Ben Beauchamp and Patrick May led the Tribunes in game two atop the order, collecting two hits each, while Max Schmarder, Ryan Hill, and Avery Bowens all hit triples for MCC.
Monroe returns to action on Monday when they welcome Finger Lakes to town for the final two games of their four-game set. First pitch is set for 2pm. No spectators are currently permitted.
