ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The Monroe Community College Baseball team sent 11 to the plate in an eight-run second inning and went on to sweep a doubleheader (6-4/15-5) from Mohawk Valley CC in NJCAA action on Sunday.
Max Schmarder (Buffalo, N.Y./Olmstead) highlighted the outburst with an RBI triple.
"They gave us an opportunity to tack on runs, and the guys cashed in on chances," MCC head coach Dave Brust said. "It was certainly needed. They jumped on the opportunity."
