BATAVIA, NY - The Genesee Community College defense stifled the MCC attack in the second and third quarters en route to a 19-7 victory over the Tribunes on Wednesday evening. The loss drops the Tribunes to 5-5 on the year.
Monroe trailed 4-3 after the first quarter, but the Cougars would go on to outscore MCC 12-2 over the next two quarters to seal the victory.
Ian Kane led the attack for the Tribunes finishing with two goals and three assists. Colin Boglione and Brendan Smallcomb each added a pair of goals, while Jake Hamilton finished with one goal to round out the scoring.
