Tribs Fall in Competitive Matchup Against DII Lincoln Trail
MYRTLE BEACH, SC - Monroe CC lost to Lincoln Trail College Softball 5-0 in a competiive matchup against the NJCAA DII Opponent.
A single by Katie Winterrowd put Lincoln Trail College Softball on the board in the bottom of the third.
Amanda Linnenbrink stepped in the circle first for Monroe CC. The starter surrendered 10 hits and five runs over six innings, striking out six and walking two. Elise Lampert stepped in the circle first for Lincoln Trail College Softball. The pitcher allowed four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out eight and walking two.
Nikki Namisniak led Monroe CC with two hits in three at bats. Monroe CC didn't commit a single error in the field. Kaydence Morrissette had the most chances in the field with seven.
Jaycee Phillips and Alina Alford each collected two hits for Lincoln Trail College Softball. Katie Didion led Lincoln Trail College Softball with two runs batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-4 on the day. Lincoln Trail College Softball were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Bailey Duke made the most plays with five.
