Wilbern, Monroe dominate Jamestown

JAMESTOWN, New York - Chelsey Wilbern scored a game-high 18 points and MCC improved to 20-0 with an 88-28 victory over Jamestown Community College in a WNYAC women's basketball game Thursday night.

Wilbern hit 9-of-11 shots from the floor and also pulled down 14 rebounds as the second-ranked Lady Tribunes continued their perfect start to the season.

MCC forced 34 turnovers and turned those Jayhawk miscues into 42 points.  The team also had 42 offensive rebounds, resulting in 45 second-chance points.

Shanice Johnson added 13 points, five rebounds, five steals, and four blocks for the Tribunes. Naje Gibson chipped in with 11 points, Adre'onia Coleman scored 10, and Kiki Bynes and Chelsea Steinruck added nine apiece.

MCC is home this Saturday against Mercyhurst North East. Tip-off is 1 p.m.
