Tribunes pick up road win over Lackawanna

Rodney, Abitante lead the way for Monroe.

SCRANTON, Pennsylvania - The MCC women's basketball team shot its way to a 75-47 victory over Lackawanna College in a non-conference contest Thursday evening.

The Lady tribunes (15-3) knocked down 10-of-22 3-pointers on the night, while the Falcons were just 1-of-9 from beyond the arc.  Monroe also hit 17-of-22 free throws.

Erica Abitante hit four 3's and scored 15 for MCC. Lanay Rodney hit two from long distance and finished with 15 points, nine rebounds, four steals, and three assists.

MCC led by seven at the half before outscoring Lackawanna 43-22 over the final 20 minutes to win going away.

Sierra Green tacked on nine points and Jaynelle Robinson chipped in with eight points and eight boards. Torrie Cash scored seven, and Abby White and Caitie Broderick added six apiece.
